| 本書包括美國國會圖書館於1973年至1981年所用的184,000
條國會標題、國會分類號及杜威分類號。全書以此三種方式做索引，分為三冊，可分別從第一冊國會標題索引（Subject
Heading Index）、第二冊杜威十進分類號索引（Dewey Decimal Classification
Index）、第三冊國會分類號索引（Library of Congress Classification Index）來檢索，每一條款目均包括國會標題、國會分類號、杜威分類號，對編目員來講雖然資料陳舊，但可由標題對應到分類號，或由杜威分類號對應到國會分類號，仍然是非常值得參考的。每冊前還有Free-floating
subdivisions、Subdivisions used under place names、Tables of relocations of Dewey
decimal classification numbers
，後者將第十八版及第十九版的杜威分類表的不同處做一個對照，可供參考。
